Ice Caves of Leelanau County - Available in a Book by Ken Scott

Ice Caves of Leelanau ... the book. Ken Scott is an avid outdoor photographer in Northwest Michigan, focusing primarily on capturing the beauty of his home county, Leelanau.

During the particularly cold and snowy months in early 2014, Ken made frequent treks to the shore of Lake Michigan to document the amazing beauty of the incredible Leelanau Ice Caves. This passionate pursuit resulted in a massive library of once-in-a-lifetime images which Ken has chosen to share in his book, "Ice Caves of Leelanau."

According to Ken, "It was a solid exercise in letting go as the book just wasn't big enough for all of them. We worked hard also to have amazing content at a reasonable price and felt $25 hit that mark."

This book comes with many bonuses as noted by Ken, "Jerry Dennis, author, wrote an intro essay that sets the mood and jars the senses as he is so able to do with words ...your feet will feel the rumble as waves crash into the shoreline carving out the ice for caves! My facebook friend and meteorologist, Ernie Ostuno supplied us with a lot of ice terminology that makes this a learning tool as well! This book would not have been possible without the generous underwriting of Tom and Burma Reed Powell, Art's Tavern Glen Arbor, The Business Helper LLC, in Suttons Bay and The Leelanau Enterprise. It was a team effort."
